St. Matthew's Youth Group

Welcome!

We welcome the youth of St. Matthew's Parish (8th -12th grade) to join us for a variety of activities during the year. Together, we hope to grow as a community of faith, continue to build our relationship with Jesus Christ, and develop many fun memories!

 

Thanks to all who made our Youth Group Overnight Lock-In a great success!!!


It has been a great year of growing in our faith in Jesus Christ together.  There is much to be grateful for!!

Light the Fire ~ Diocese of Scranton Youth Rally

Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 (9am - 7pm)

Misericordia University, Dallas, PA

 

 

Going eleven years strong, this rally brings together nearly 500 teenagers from throughout the Diocese of Scranton. The day includes upbeat music, hilarious and inspiring talks from nationally-acclaimed speakers, Adoration, Confession, lunch, free-time, break-out sessions, and a closing Mass with the bishop of Scranton.

 

St. Matthew's will have a bus leaving for "Light the Fire" at 7AM on Wednesday, June 27th.

Quo Vadis Days  ~ High School Summer Camp

Sunday June 24th (4pm) through Wednesday, June 27th (9am), 2018

Misericordia University, Dallas, PA

 

 

The 4th Annual Quo Vadis Days will be held at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA on Sunday, June 24th through Wednesday, June 27th.

 

The camp is for young Catholic men in High School (9th-12th grade) to:
♦ Deepen their faith
♦ Lean more about all vocations
♦ Better discern God’s call in their lives

 

The camp will feature dynamic talks, prayer, games, sports, activities, music and more. Participants
will have the opportunity to meet Bishop Bambera, priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Scranton.

St. Matthew's Parish Festival

August 10th - 12th, 2018  (Friday-Sunday)

 

 

This year, the Youth Group will be running the Ice Cream stand. We will also be sharing all the good we do and inviting new members to join us!
