Welcome to St. Matthew’s Parish!


We are a diverse, welcoming, and faith-filled community located in the heart of East Stroudsburg, PA. Our mission statement calls us to live our Catholic faith in an intentional and generous way: ‘Guided by the Holy Spirit, through prayer and worship, and the sharing of our resources, we humbly strive to witness to the Good News and to spread the Kingdom of God.’ 

We welcome you and invite your active participation in the life and ministry of our parish family. This booklet is provided for you to understand how we strive to live our mission. You will find important information regarding the day-to-day experience of our parish as well as ministry options for your consideration. We hope you will share your gifts and talents to help strengthen our parish life and enhance your commitment to intentional and missionary discipleship.

We, the members of St. Matthew's Parish are all servant leaders who strengthened by the Eucharist become stewards of all God has  given to us. As faithful stewards we evangelize through our participation in Worship and Word so that we can offer our Service to our parish Community and to the broader Community as we humbly strive to witness the Good News and to spread the Kingdom of God.
