Eternal and merciful God, we thank you for having given us a new shepherd in the person of Pope Leo XIV. You who know his heart and his story, accompany him with the strength of your Holy Spirit so that he may guide your Church with wisdom, humility, and courage.

Grant him health to face the challenges of his mission, clarity to discern your will, and compassion to embrace every son and daughter of this world, especially the most forgotten and needy.

Grant that, under his guidance, we may be builders of unity, defenders of justice, and witnesses of your love.

Mary, Mother of the Church, cover him with your mantle and always lead him by the hand to your Son, Jesus.
